BECOME A VOLUNTEER!

WE ARE BACK TO IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING
AND WE HAVE EXPANDED TO NEW SITES!!!
Join us in-person or from remote

~ As a volunteer, there are many things that you can do to help our cause ~
We make sure our members feel empowered by taking advantage of their best assets. There are many ways to help other than performing!
Even without joining us, you can use our resources to help care for a loved one suffering from dementia.

PERFORM AT A CARE FACILITY

All skill levels and instruments are welcome. Don't know where to start? Check out some popular songs you can learn.

Stating in Fall 2021, we are back to in-person volunteering.

Our main site is Brookdale, Ann Arbor, but we have recently expanded to Orchard Hills Living, Ann Arbor, and Cedarbrook in Bloomfield Hills. We will aim to keep an online volunteering option.

INTERACT WITH THE RESIDENTS

You can simply volunteer and interact with the residents if you do not feel comfortable performing...everyone is welcome!

At Music For Dementia, there is a chance for everyone to contribute to our efforts. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

COVID-19 CHANGES

WE RETURNED TO IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING IN FALL 2021

We continue to require the use of masks and vaccination for volunteers to perform in person.
To protect the health and wellbeing of residents and volunteers, we transitioned to a 100% online format for the 2020/2021 academic year.
We were able to continue volunteering throughout the pandemic via Zoom, to bring live music even from remote.
