BECOME A VOLUNTEER!

WE ARE BACK TO IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING
AND WE HAVE EXPANDED TO NEW SITES!!!
Choose a site close to you and join us in-person

~ As a volunteer, there are many things that you can do to help our cause ~
We make sure our members feel empowered by taking advantage of their best assets. There are many ways to help other than performing!
Even without joining us, you can use our resources to help care for a loved one suffering from dementia.

PERFORM AT A CARE FACILITY

All skill levels and instruments are welcome. Don't know where to start? Check out some popular songs you can learn.

Stating in Fall 2021, we are back to in-person volunteering.

We currently have chapters in Ann Arbor, Bloomfield Hills, Grand Rapids, and soon Detroit.

Currently we are no longer actively volunteering ONLINE but reach out if this is of interest to you.

INTERACT WITH THE RESIDENTS

You can simply volunteer and interact with the residents if you do not feel comfortable performing...everyone is welcome!

At Music For Dementia, there is a chance for everyone to contribute to our efforts. We are always striving to make a difference, and invite you to learn more and lend your support.

COVID-19 CHANGES

WE RETURNED TO IN-PERSON VOLUNTEERING IN FALL 2021

We continue to follow the COVID guidelines of each facility. Usually, the use of masks and vaccination is required for volunteers to perform in person.

IMPACT DURING THE PANDEMIC
To protect the health and wellbeing of residents and volunteers, we transitioned to a 100% online format for 2020-2021.
We were able to continue volunteering throughout the pandemic via Zoom, to bring live music even from remote.
